Dating from the eighteenth century, The Granary is a beautifully preserved Grade II listed building at Slades Farm. Originally built to store harvested grain above ground, its elevated timber frame protected precious crops while allowing air to circulate beneath the floor. Today, many of its original features remain intact, from the immense hand-hewn oak beams and pegged timber frame to the decorative tile-hung exterior and soaring vaulted roof.
